Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

Centurion Driving School (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and share your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

1. Who we are

Centurion Driving School is a K53 learner’s and driver’s licence training provider based in Pretoria and Centurion, South Africa.

2. What information we collect

We only collect the personal information we need to provide our driving school services. This may include:

  • Your full name, surname and ID number (required for DLTC bookings and learner’s / driver’s licence test applications);
  • Your contact details (phone, WhatsApp, email);
  • Your physical address or pick-up location;
  • Payment-related information (proof of payment, EFT reference) — we do not store credit card or banking login details on this website;
  • Booking, lesson and test-date records;
  • Website usage data (cookies, IP address, browser type — see Section 8).

3. Why we collect it (lawful basis)

We process your personal information in order to:

  • Perform our contract with you (book lessons, register you for learner’s / driver’s tests, arrange vehicles and collection);
  • Comply with legal obligations (DLTC / e-Natis requirements, tax and accounting records);
  • Contact you about your booking, test date or a quote you requested;
  • Improve our service and website (analytics and feedback).

Where we rely on your consent (for example, marketing messages), you may withdraw that consent at any time.

4. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it with:

  • The Driving Licence Testing Centre (DLTC) and e-Natis system for test bookings;
  • Our payment processor to confirm payments;
  • Service providers that host our website, email and booking systems, under appropriate confidentiality terms;
  • Law enforcement or regulators where we are legally required to do so.

5. How long we keep your information

We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the service and to meet our legal obligations (for example, SARS requires certain records to be kept for at least 5 years). When it is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.

6. How we protect your information

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information, including restricted access, secure website hosting and password-protected systems. No online transmission can be guaranteed 100% secure, but we work hard to keep your information safe.

7. Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you;
  • Ask us to correct or update it;
  • Ask us to delete it (where we are not legally required to keep it);
  • Object to or withdraw consent for direct marketing;
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

To exercise any of these rights, email ben@centuriondrivingschool.co.za.

8. Cookies and website analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work and to understand how visitors use it (for example, which pages are most popular). You can disable cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the site may stop working correctly if you do.

9. Children

Our services are intended for people aged 17 and older (the minimum age to obtain a learner’s licence in South Africa). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parental or guardian consent.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page will tell you when it was last changed. Significant changes will be communicated on this page.
